PRECAUTION Its usage is not recommended in pregnancy, breast feeding and infants. Convulsion and toxic psychoses have been reported in patients receiving quinolones including levofloxacin. If these reactions occur in patients receiving Floxium, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate measures instituted. As with other quinolones, levofloxacin should be used with caution in patients with a known CNS disorder that may predispose to seizures or lower the seizures threshold.
CONTRAINDICATIONS Levofloxacin is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, or any other quinolone antimicrobial agents.
